The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024

We are thrilled to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge again – the UK’s biggest match funding campaign. For one week only, all donations are doubled, meaning that every pound you give has twice the impact.

Across the world, families are forced to rely on polluted water sources, leading to devastating diseases and a cycle of poverty that is hard to break.  When families gain access to safe drinking water, it’s not just about health, it gives them opportunities to grow, work, and prosper. 

We need your help to make this possible. Your support will enable us to work with communities to harness their water resources effectively and responsibly, ensuring long-term access to safe water for future generations.

How your donation can unite families with clean water

• £10 doubled to £20, can provide a community workshop about water contamination and health
• £50 doubled to £100, can help a family carry out the work required to get safe water flowing directly to their home
• £100 doubled to £200, can make water quality and hygiene a key part of children’s school education

Unlock potential for women like Durgabai

Everything changed when Durgabai and her community learned about the dangers in their water sources. She is now a proud advocate for hygiene and sanitation, sharing her knowledge with others and helping to unite her community.

The Problem

A large-scale survey by the UN found that 40% of the world’s water bodies tested were severely polluted, so it’s unsurprising that around the world, 1 in 4 people don’t have access to safe drinking water. The World Health Organisation estimates that 1 million people die each year from diarrhoea as a result of unsafe drinking water, sanitation, and hand hygiene.

Our Solution

Frank Water works with the most marginalised communities, often where few charities operate, to bring water security to those who need it most. We invest in people, by building trust and community knowledge of hydrology, nature-based solutions, hygiene, and their health connections. We empower women to advocate for investments, manage water resources sustainably, and maintain good hygiene levels.  Projects are tailor-made with partners, policymakers, and planners to ensure sustainable impact.

This year, we’ve set our greatest target yet – £60,000.  With your support, we can unlock £30,000 of match funding and unite more families with access to clean water for life.
