If you have access to safe water on tap, it’s hard to imagine what life would be like without it.
Growing populations and climate change are placing increased pressure on scarce water resources and there is an urgent need for action. People without access to a safe and reliable water supply are denied a fundamental human right and their health, education and economic prospects are severely impacted.
Our rationale for working in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) explains the backdrop of inequality, climate change impacts, security concerns, missed education and poor livelihoods that communities might experience before WASH improvements.
By working alongside amazing communities experiencing water scarcity we see how women’s lives are transformed when they have access to water close to their homes. We see how the health of children drastically improves with properly managed sanitation and a better understanding of hygiene to protect from disease. We see how farmers are able to grow more nutritious crops for their families. This is made possible by wonderful supporters like you, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
