Paula has worked in both the private and non-profit sectors, and has a sound knowledge of international best practices and adapting them to diverse cultural and local contexts. Her WASH experience covers projects at an urban and rural level, and she has a particular focus on mainstreaming gender, equality and social inclusion (GESI) in WASH programmes.
Paula is a Senior WASH Consultant in Arup. Working in emerging markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America for Arup, and previously in Madagascar developing and implementing WASH projects with the NGO SEED Madagascar, has given Paula in-depth knowledge of a wide range of clients and partners, from NGOs to governments, UN Agencies and Development Banks. Her experience has given her an understanding of the complexity and richness involved in interacting and engaging with different stakeholders at international, national, and local level.
